Practical Focus
Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences places a strong emphasis on practical experience, believing that application is key. You will work collaboratively on practical projects. The university makes full use of its interactions with companies and organizations to enable students to exchange experiences as part of their studies.
You will not only attend lectures but also work with your classmates in project groups on real-world projects and case studies. You will not only solve problems but also share your ideas to gain different perspectives. You’ll learn from others’ insights and experiences, and what you learn can be directly applied to your own work.
During your studies, you’ll receive training in a metropolitan setting, where local companies and institutions provide you with engaging and relevant practical assignments.
In a major city like Amsterdam—with its diverse population, internationally oriented companies, and a cultural atmosphere focused on innovation—you’ll gain more than just a valuable degree; you’ll also gain deep insight into the latest developments in your field. As a result, your professional knowledge will be expanded and deepened through practical experience. At the same time, this practical experience will provide you with knowledge that goes beyond what is typically covered in other bachelor’s and master’s programs.
